Capital Campaign Update

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE – AUGUST 01, 2017

The Board of Directors of Agape House – Eastman Crisis Center, Inc. is pleased to share that the provincial funding agency Family Violence Prevention Program (FVPP) has completed the Capital “refresh” as announced in April 2016.  The scope of the shelter renovations were extensive and addressed concerns outlined by the organization in the past five years.

Capital renovations included replacing and installing new windows, shingles, flooring, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, 2 furnaces, converting all indoor and outdoor lighting to LED, as well as upgrades to the security system.

As a result of addressing the Capital needs of the organization, the Board of Directors has relinquished the parcel of land purchased in 2014 that was earmarked for a new facility.

Contributions made by individual and corporate donors for the purpose of the new shelter remain earmarked for capital improvements to the current shelter facility to enhance client services.  The Board is grateful for the generosity of community members in ensuring Agape House services remain a priority in southeast Manitoba.

Those seeking information on their contributions, shelter renovations, or capital campaign are asked to please contact Executive Director, Pam Hadder at 204-326-6062.

Sincere regards,

Board of Directors
