Volunteer
We’re grateful for the time, talents, and experience of our volunteers.
Volunteer opportunities include gardening, lawn mowing, snow blowing, building shelves, giving haircuts and manicures for our Spa Day, and helping with events like Teddy Bear Fun Day and International Women’s Day.

Interested in joining our Board of Directors?
Agape House is seeking individuals from across the Southeast who are interested in serving on our volunteer Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is a governance board that meets monthly in Steinbach. Progressive and committed to demonstrating all aspects of diversity, the board is currently seeking socially conscious individuals with a passion for event planning, building community relationships, marketing, and raising social awareness. Additional non-profit, governance, and union experience is an asset but not mandatory.
Requirements of board membership:
Commitment to the work of the organization – must know our vision, mission, and mandate
Understanding and support of the governance model
Willingness to serve on at least one committee
Attendance at monthly meetings
Attendance at the Annual General Meeting in September
Attendance at any other general meetings called
Support of and participation in any fundraising events
We’re open to all candidates willing to dedicate their time, and welcome you to join this critical work of supporting survivors of abuse.

We staff our organization 24/7, pulling together to do all this work. All day, all evening, all night, every weekend, every stat holiday.
