We loved seeing you all at the Taste of Summer Charity BBQ in support of Agape House! We felt very fortunate to be chosen yet again as one of the beneficiaries this year.
We want to extend a huge thank you to the amazing local businesses that contributed ahead of the event, HUB Insurance Steinbach, Hello Taxi, and Three Way Builders.
We had an AMAZING turnout and ended up raising $5815! Funds raised during this event will go towards the expansion of critical shelter services, including
- activities for in shelter participants (women, children, families) like outings, fun events, and birthday/holiday parties
- helping clients secure ID – we increasingly see individuals enter shelter without ID, which is a substantial barrier to moving forward. We are looking to streamline this process and help folks get ID earlier in their stay
- Supplies for group activities – we offer several community support groups which require resources like workbooks and other supplies.

The Taste of Summer Charity BBQ is an event hosted by the Steinbach Credit Union that happens annually during the summer. Each week on Wednesday a $2 hotdog lunch is sold with all the proceeds going to a different local organization working to better the community.
